Sisters

I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved this session. I photographed this family in CA for the first time last fall. This time, mom & dad decided to focus on the girls.

You should have seen everything that they packed up for us to play with – the sofa, and a bin full of tutus, flowers, tiaras, necklaces, stuffed animals, lollipops and ring pops. Although the session wasn’t all smiles, (broken lollipops can be very traumatizing) we did get plenty of them, and I was absolutely pleased with the results. These girls have the BEST expressions, sweetest smiles and their sisterly bond definitely shines through. I hope you enjoy the photos from this session!

saul + cory= engaged

Whew, I’m finally getting caught up on my session blog posts!

I did this engagement session a few weeks ago. I couldn’t wait to do it because I’ve met Saul and Cory several times through my husband’s softball activities, but haven’t really gotten the chance to know them. I loved reading their responses to my initial questionnaire. Saul thoughtfully filled out the answers to each question (how they met, their style, details about the wedding, etc) from his perspective. It’s not very often that you get the groom to participate in such things!

Since both Saul and Cory play softball, we decided to do part of the session at a baseball field. I just love that their wedding date is October 22, and (not) coincidentally, their jersey numbers are 10 and 22 (sigh)… We finished up at the beautiful UW campus, where we took advantage of the amazing architecture that surrounded us. I just love how the ones of them on the wall turned out!

I am really looking forward to their wedding; they are such a fun couple, and they are going to be one gorgeous bride and groom!

Baby Brooke

Two weeks ago, I flew home for my best friend’s totally 80’s birthday party. I only booked a few sessions during this trip, so I could spend some time with my best friend and my family. My first session was for a friend I went to high school with. She had actually contacted me a few months ago, but the timing of my trip wasn’t going to mesh with her due date. However, it was meant to be, because she had Brooke a few weeks early, and since she was so tiny, they were able to wait until my trip to do her newborn photos.

I went to their house and took several pictures of Brooke, while her brother, Trevor watched TV. While Brooke was being fed, daddy persuaded Trevor to model for me with the help of some popcorn. After that, Trevor got to hold Brooke for the first time, and I am so happy we were able to capture such a special moment. He was so incredibly sweet with his new sister; you could just tell how much he loved her by how he would close his eyes and snuggle his face up to hers.

At the end of the session, we got some of the whole family (minus the two dogs & cat), and again, Trevor was persuaded to model for me, this time, with oreo cookies 🙂

It was so fun to see Tami after all these years – her family is truly beautiful.

Metcalf Chiropractic

Just a few weeks ago, I drove out to Duvall to take some updated staff pictures for Metcalf Chiropractic. The snow was just finally melting and we even got a few flakes while we were taking some shots outside. They have a really nice team there. If you’re looking for a chiropractor in that area, you should contact them!

Baby Charlie

I was fortunate to be able to take pictures of baby Charlie, just one week old. He was a dream to photograph. We put him on a chair, in a cocoon, a bucket, a basket and a bowl and by the looks of the images below, you’ll see he had no problem getting comfortable in all of them!

Baby Connor

We were going to do Connor’s pictures in the fall, but since we missed the brand newborn stage, we decided to hold off until he was a little bigger, so we could get some smiles. We certainly got some! This little family was so cute, and I am so excited to see them again later in the spring for the 2nd part of their session!

Birthday Request Part 2

Coincidentally, I had another birthday request scheduled for the same day as my previous birthday request post. Andrea, who is the mother of the adorable Jackson, seen in this session and this session, called me about scheduling a session. Her boss’ birthday was coming up, and she wanted to surprise her with some photos of their kids together. So, we met at the park and did a quick session of all of the kids together. Andrea and her husband did a great job of getting all of the kids put together in coordinating outfits!

A Birthday Request

I received a call from Kathy. Her birthday was coming up, and so was her great granddaughter’s. The family was going to be getting together to celebrate, and she wanted to get some photos of her great grandchildren while they were visiting. So I headed over before the party, and snapped a few pictures of her grandchildren and great grand children:
